I remember being asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up. I didn't know what to call the girl I dreamed of becoming. She was so fierce, and confident. I could literally feel her strength. It wasn't what she did, it was who she was. I knew I had to be that girl someday. Believing this through the trials I would eventually face proved to be one of the greatest challenge of my life.
Everything I endured ; rape, loneliness, rejection, teenage pregnancy, a repeatedly broken heart, domestic violence, depression, failure, and divorce, nearly broke me. I almost gave up, but in spite of every obstacle, my faith was made fierce!
Today, I am the wife of an awesome man named Shannon, mother of four beautiful children, an author, encourager and believer in Jesus Christ. I am just a girl who decided to trust God no matter what!
